Hello stampers! I absolutley love the new Sale A Bration stamp set, Elementary Elegance, from Stampin' Up! I have the clear mount version and decided to keep the scrap rubber from inside the framed image. The yellow background inside of the framed image on the card was stamped using that piece of scrap!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hello stampers! The best part of the holidays is sharing them with those you love... Over the next few days I will be spending my time with family and friends! I am so excited and can't wait to see everyone! I also just had to share a picture of my little Foxy. She received a "Christmas card" from Aunt DeeDee this year and she absolutely loved it! It is an edible card and boy did she go to town. It took her about 2 seconds to start gnawing. The cookies you see above are a bit more people friendly. My daughter's and I made these yummy treats to share this Christmas!

This is fantastic, I love this and can't believe how much work must have gone into this project. Holy smokes!!!!

As a special thank you to all of you I have created the sweet little coffee holder you see above. It perfectly holds a Starbucks Via Ready Brew, and is super easy to put together!

Here are the directions;

For the base you will need a 2 1/4" x 9 1/2" piece of cardstock. Score this piece at 6". Fold on the score and wrap a 2 1/2" x 6" piece of designer paper around the whole bottom half. Tie a ribbon around the middle and tuck your coffee inside! That's it! Super easy! Have fun and change it up a bit with different embellishments!!!

ELF ON A SHELF REQUESTS...

Hello stampers! First of all, thank you so much for all the positive feedback on my Elf on a Shelf! I am honored to hear how many of you enjoyed this project! I have had a few requests for directions on my little elf. Well, I have good news and bad news. Lets start with the good news; I am currently working on a tutorial for an extremely similar project. The tutorial will be the same for the elf except for a few slight modifications. The bad news is; The tutorial I am putting together is for the 2011 Holiday UStamp with Dawn and Friends blog hop. This is only bad news because it will not go live until Dec. 1st thru Dec. 4th, so you will have to wait a little while. Hello stampers! After recently discovering "Elf on a Shelf", even though this concept has been around for a while, I decided to create my own Elf on a Shelf! The story goes; Since Santa is so busy and only one person, he sends his elves to see if you are naughty or nice. Your elf sits up on a shelf as he keeps a watchful eye for the big man up North. I thought this was such a cute idea and just had to make one! My elf was inspired by one of my all time favorite elves, "Buddy the Elf".

CLASSIC CHRISTMAS AND A WINNER

Hello stampers! I am pleased to announce that every Stampin' Steps class will now be offered most Tuesday's in the afternoon and evening! That's twice the opportunity for every class! The next class will be the Classic Christmas card class. We will be making the cards shown above on Tuesday November, 15th. ♥ Here is my Stampin' Confession;
Sometimes when I am "trying" to fall asleep at night, I get a burst of ideas. The kind of ideas that cannot wait until morning. Hello stampers! Happy Halloween! Those darn Angry Birds are everywhere these days! "Angry Birds" is a fairly new game you can download and play on a smart phone. Since the game has come out I have seen Angry Birds merchandise all over the place. Well the other day I was at a store looking through the Halloween costumes and saw they now have Angry Bird costumes too! I am sure I will see a few out and about when I take my daughter's Trick-or-Treating tonight, and we will try to stay out of the line of fire ;-) Since they have become so popular, I thought I would take a shot at creating my own little Angry Birds and came up with these treat boxes.

Hello stampers! I love the saying I used on this card! It is so true and reminds me to do just that, be happy. The multiple photos have been my attempt to capture the beauty of this card. However, it is still much prettier in person. (It almost always is, isn't it?) The really shimmery flowers and the various texture really make this card pop.

Hello stampers! If you follow my blog, you already know my family and I recently moved from WI to TN. Well back home (WI) our family enjoyed camping up north every summer and fall. Now that we are in TN, we will have the opportunity to go camping in the Smoky Mountains. I will miss my up north adventures, but look forward to the new experiences. The first picture above is of my daughters at the lake near our family cabin, in the Nicolet National Forest. It is beautiful up there! The scrapbook is one I have put together as I anticipate our new adventures, and can't wait to fill it with memories.

Hello stampers! I have something very exciting to share with you. I have been asked to be a guest designer over at U Stamp with Dawn and Friends for the Knock Out Punches 2011 event! This is the project I will be sharing. I love these colors together, and punch art has to be one of my favorite forms of paper crafting. So, putting this project together was a lot of fun! Hello stampers! Today I have a "thaumotrope" to share with you. When you spin that little bead at the top it looks like the bird is flying. On one side of the circle the bird's wing is down on the other it is up. There are many image ideas for this type of optical illusion. This is a simple one. It was fun to make, and maybe more fun to play with :-) I'm sure I will be making more...

Hello stampers! Have you ever tried a "Puffball" mushroom? They are really yummy! My husband brought one home today. He found it in a field at a park near his work. We cleaned it up, peeled it, and sliced it. Then I cooked it just like french toast. It turned out really good. My kids even ate it! This may also be one of the most budget friendly meals ever too. Along with a homemade meal I thought I would share a homemade card...

GOT TREATS?... Round 2

Hello stampers! I have had a few requests for details on how to make this little lady. So here is a detailed (and a bit improved) version of her.

First, I used all Stampin' Up! punches; Modern Label, Word Window, Round Tab, Butterfly, Full Heart, Small Heart, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Extra Large Oval, Large Oval, Owl Builder, and Blossom Petals Builder punches.

In the last version I did not add a skirt, but this time I did. I used 3 of the large petals from the Blossom Petals Builder punch for the skirt. To create the rim of the hat I folded the Extra Large Oval in half the long way and trimmed a hole along the crease. For the "mask" I folded the butterfly in half and used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Pack to punch both holes at one time. To make the top of her dress I folded the Modern Label on an angle as shown in the picture above.

She is a lot of fun to make! I hope this makes it easier and enjoy!

Hello stampers! Well it is still summer, but I am getting a head start on fall craft fair ideas. As I was brainstorming, I remembered a cute little snowman that was given to me for christmas a while back. (Thank you DeeDee!) It had an adorable little poem and an individual popcorn inside. I thought they would be perfect, but I wanted to create something more my style. So, I made these cute little owls instead to wrap around candy bars and individual popcorn packages. The poem you see on the wrapper is one that I wrote. I wanted it to be custom for the owls.

Hello stampers! I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before, but... My daughter's are very creative. (They must take after their mom ;-) They love creating and sometimes I even have to say WOW! to the things they come up with. So, the other day my girls and I were wandering around Big Lots and came across this table! It was on clearance for $50.00! Since they like to stamp too, we took it home with us. They use to have a fold up table, but always ran out of room for their creations. Now they have plenty of room! This table is a little sturdier too ;-) I will leave you with one of their "inspiration creations"... this one is made out of Play-Doh!

Hello stampers! It is finally beginning to feel like spring here, and I think spring fever is starting to kick in. My daughters and I decided to take a trip to the zoo this past weekend. Of course I had to stop in and say hello to one of my favorite little guys, the Burrowing Owl. One of my daugters favorite animals is this next little guy right here...

Typically when we go to the zoo the otter is in the water or taking a nap, but this time he went out of his way to say hello! My daughter's were just eating it up! They loved to see him up close and personal.

Keeping with the theme: here are some more cute critters... (Although, these ones you might find at home.) The birds and cages are from a Stampin' Up! set called Aviary. I absolutely love this set!

Hello stampers! I would like to share a "moment" with you. Today I submitted this card as an entry for a card contest I am participating in. Now normally this would be a pretty average experience. Well needless to say it was not exactly the average experience I had in mind. Every once in a while I just can't seem to follow directions ;-)' This happened to be one of those times. You see the artists of all entries were to be made anonymous to the voters. Silly me... Guess what I accomplished?... Yep, I revealed myself to all the voters! That ought to teach me.
